I’m loving our Saturday mornings

22Oct08

When Dominic first started playing soccer, I have to admit that I was dreading the 10am games. Of course, others had games that started at 9am, but after a week of waking up at 6am for school, I grudgingly gave up my sleeping-in-on-Saturday rights. My attitude quickly changed when I realized that I had an hour of ‘free’ time where I could knit. Kaitlin sits in her stroller by Daddy, and with a well stocked bag of snacks, she enjoys the game. Also, I knew that Dominic would enjoy playing soccer, but I wasn’t prepared for him to love it this much.

We had the privilege of watching another soccer game.

And some other shots from the morning.

  1. I am sitting here with tears running down my face. I miss you all so much and it seems I miss you even more as the time gets closer to you coming home for the holidays. Anyway, Dom does look like he is totally enjoying himself playing soccer. Who knows, maybe Kait will be a soccer player when she gets old enough to play. She looks at ease playing with that soccer ball. Kris, how can I get this blog at home so I can show Dad the pics you have been sending us? Dom, keep up the good work, and Kait keep practicing. I love you all, even you Steve.

  2. yes, you were my first comment! thank you! and i’ll enter you in all 3 drawings! we’ll see what comes of this giveaway thing . . .

i am like your mom. the closer i get to seeing someone i love who is far away, the more i miss them . . . when i was in college i would call my mom every day and sometimes twice a day the week before i’d head home for a break . . . yeah.

    what a lovely, sunny saturday!

Ok, so number one…..your mom just made me cry at work! I think we are just going to steal all of you and bring you back to us (we’ll steal Samsung too so Steve doesn’t have to get a new job). We all miss you terribly.

I love looking at these pictures and all I hear is Dom’s voice over and over going “Aunt Kimmie, Soccer is the funniest thing ever” Our babies our growing up 😦

I am amazed at your life. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:

You make me proud mama and I am ever so lucky to have you as my best friend.

  4. Kimmie, we have now probably made Krissie cry. Oh well, why should we be the only ones crying, right?

  5. Yes, you crackers have made me tear up a little, but I am at work and can’t hide behind my desk. =P

I miss you both terribly and am grateful that I have this blog to post pictures so that you may be a part of our life.

And Kimmie, if you can find some way to steal Samsung, I am 1000% all in. haha
